2017 4th of July Parade

Annandale will be celebrating its 128th annual parade.

Parade Begins at Tuesday, July 4, 2017, 10:00 am.
Parade line up at the Annandale Elementary & High School at 9:00 am

People's Choice Float Contest:
This year, the unit contest will be a People's Choice and will include EVERY UNIT except honor guard, emergency vehicles, and paid units. There is no cost for entry. 

Prizes based on most votes:
1st Place - $300
2nd Place - $200
3rd Place - $100. 

Parade Route:

Parade Route Change for 2017:
The parade route will be reversed this year. The start of the parade will be Poplar/Cedar Circle ending at Hemlock. This will better aid in parade line up, handle some safety concerns, and assist in better traffic/pedestrian flow when the parade ends.

Parade Rules:
Candy will be allowed this year. However, it must be handed out at the curb. Throwing candy from vehicles or floats is not allowed.

Parking on the 4th:
  • The public beach parking lot will close at 5 p.m.
  • The North end of Oak Street is closed.
  • The parking lot west of the ball field (Candlestick & Maple) is handicap parking only.

DaBand's Final March
After 25 years, this will DaBand's final parade. They will be retiring       on their 25th birthday.


Bluecoats of Canton, Ohio
Bluecoats are the current DCI Champion Corps and we are excited to have them here in MPLS for the July 4th Celebrations and for the DCI MN competition in TCF Bank Stadium.


Minnesota's Jack Sparrow
Minnesota's Jack Sparrow will be returning for his 2nd year at Annandale.
